Sovann Robinson

Social Justice Peer Educator

Bio: My name is Sovann Robinson, and I am an Apparel Design, Apparel Merchandising, and Social Sciences triple major in my senior year at WSU. In addition to being a Social Justice Peer Educator, I am also the station manager for the non-commercial student radio station KZUU 90.7FM. I was born and raised in Seattle, up until middle school when I moved to Pullman. I have been living in Pullman for almost 9 years now, so I have a strong connection to the local community. I hope to take what I have learned as a SJPE into the world of fashion and art, where social justice frameworks are often ignored. After undergrad, I hope to continue my studies at a design school and work towards a master’s degree. Feel free to tune into my weekly radio show (Thursdays 10pm-12am) on 90.7FM, I play mostly experimental hip hop, underground hip hop, and indie pop/rock. Most recently I've been named The 2020 Fine Arts Choice Award Winner in the Art for Social Change Competition.
